Fun baby stuff!

So I thought that I'd update everyone on the latest baby happenings:)

Cam and I bought our first crib a few weeks ago. It was so exciting and Cameron had a good time putting it together!

A couple of weeks later we got the crib bedding. So cute (and so girly)! I also bought a couple of outfits and Cam's mom got us some really cute onsies:)

Cameron and I found out today that we are having a little girl! It was so fun to actually see pictures of her. It took a while for the ultrasound tech to figure out that she 's a girl because her legs were crossed, like a modest little lady:) I think that she was taking a little nap too because she seemed annoyed that we were trying to get her to move.

This was a little note that was started on Facebook but I thought that it would be more fun to put it on my blog:) So here it goes:

1. My parents named me Summer even though I was born in the fall.
2. I was in the Price is Right audience a few years ago.
3. I have a talent for tap dancing.
4. I've been skydiving.
5. I'm going to be a mommy in July:)
6. There are 14 years between me and my little sister.
7. I started coloring my hair when I was 15 but have NEVER gone blonde.
8. I was in my high school's Junior Miss Pageant.
9. I was Smurfette for Halloween last year (possibly my best costume ever).
10. I love pickles!
11. I marched in the 2001 Rose Bowl Parade as a colorguard in my high school marching band.
12. My favorite smell is citrus.
13. Someday I want to get a Labrador Retriever.
14. When I was 8 years old I played Jane Banks in a dance production of Mary Poppins.
15. My favorite candies are Jelly Bellies.
16. My great, great, great, great grandfather is Brigham Young.
17. I love to laugh (HA HA HA HA!)

19. I really enjoy musicals, especially the old ones.

Christmas Adventures

Christmas this year was fun and eventful. Cameron and I traveled to Az to spend the holiday with the Young's this year, and really enjoyed a break from the snowy weather! But before we left we were able to celebrate an early Christmas with the Willden's. Marcel & Mary rented a cabin near Heber where we spent a couple of days.

We were able to visit the Mesa temple lights. So beautiful!




One of the activities that my mom has been wanting to do for years is have a gingerbread house making contest. Little did we know that the competition was fierce! We all paired up and created some pretty amazing masterpieces:)

Cameron, Samantha, and I took a little trip to the Phoenix Zoo. It was great weather so a lot of the animals were out and about. Cam was having a good time filming the whole thing:)

Cameron got Batman pj's (I think that he was hoping for a cape to go with it). I got some Smurfette pj's. My mom thought of me as soon as she saw them since I was Smurfette for Halloween this year;)



We all took a little day trip to Tombstone (this was per Cam's request). We enjoyed seeing all of the historical sites where Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday once stood. The crazy thing was that it snowed while we were there. Snow in southern Arizona? It can happen!


Mom decided that it would be a good idea to take some family photos while everyone was together this year. We all got dressed up and went to Freestone park to take some cute pics!

Well, this Christmas really was quite the adventure! Cam and I had so much fun visiting with all of our families and feel blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives! We love you all!

Hey everyone! Even though most of you have already heard our exciting news I think an official announcement is appropriate, so here it is:

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!

Yes, its true! I could hardly believe it myself:) I am about 12 weeks along and the due date is July 18. Cameron and I found out mid November, but decided to wait until Christmas time to tell our families. That was really hard to do since I was sick for a few weeks (I think some people were suspicious). I'm on some nausea meds now, so I am feeling much better these days. I had my first doctor appointment on Dec 30 and we were able to hear the baby's heart beat. It was so cool! The doc says that everything is looking good:) I'll try to keep everyone updated with baby news. Cam and I are so excited to start our family!

Halloween Fun

Halloween this year was fun, not to mention very successful. My office had a costume contest and I won with my impressive take on Smurfette. Do you remember the Smurfs? That was one of my very favorite cartoons growing up, but there are few little kids these days who even know who they are. Anyway, the prize was a $50.00 gift certificate to the restaurant of my choice (of course, I have to consult with Cameron on that one since he will be my date). And every person that dressed up received two movie tickets. All my preperation paid off (and it was FUN!).

Cameron is an AMAZING pumpkin carver and created some pretty awesome masterpieces this year. We are big fans of the TV show The Offfice, so he carved Dwight Schrute into a pumpkin. He also did all three members of the First Presidency. That one pretty much blew everyone away! He also carved some of our favorite characters from some hit movies of this year. The Hulk and the Joker. I'm pretty sure that we'll always have the coolest pumpkins on the block:)
