A Day in the Life of a One Year Old

Well, its been a while since I've blogged about anything because I always wait until there's something interesting to share with everyone. There hasn't been anything super interesting going on lately so I'll just share a little bit about what my sweet Katelyn has been up to. She is growing up so fast and learning new things every day:)

Katelyn just recently figured out that she can now climb into and out of things. The first thing that she got into was her toy bucket.

She also likes to get into this big basket that we have in the living room. But she can't get out of that, so she gets pretty upset.


When Dad leaves his hats lying around she likes to wear them. Very fashionable.


One of her latest obsessions is with balls. As long as she can throw or kick it, its AWESOME! She really likes to go outside with her dad when he's kicking the soccer ball around.


This cute little girl also has a healthy interest in shoes. What can I say? She's all girl. She comes to me all the time with her favorite Nike's and wants me to put them on her. This picture was taken on a Sunday so she's looking especially stylin' with her dress and sneakers. Cameron said that she looks all ready to go to Walmart:)


She's getting really good at using her imagination. She loves to stir things and pretend to eat it. And she always shares with mommy and daddy.


These are just some of the things that this little munchkin is up to. She keeps us on our toes, and is, what we like to call, a funny little person.

Summer Time Fun

This summer has been quite eventful and we've had a lot of fun! Katelyn turned 1 year old on July 22 and is still the sweetest little girl there ever was:) Between her toothy grin and her wobbly walk, she is stinkin' cute and so much fun!

A couple of weeks ago we went on a trip to Wisconsin for a Willden family reunion. It was a long, crazy trip, but I believe that fun was had by all:)

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

We had a lot of fun yesterday celebrating the 4th! Cameron decided to make the dessert for our family BBQ. This was his very first attempt at making a cake, and I think it turned out great:)
Grandma Willden got Katelyn a very cute 4th of July outfit, so of course we had to have a photo shoot!:)


As soon as I found out that Carrie Underwood was performing at Stadium of Fire this year, I told Cameron that we HAVE to go. So we did, and it was a lot of fun!

Little munchkin slept through Carrie Underwood's concert AND the fireworks! She's such a cutie!

Spring '10

Well, our little family has been quite busy the last couple of months. We moved to a new apartment the beginning of April. We're happy with our new place and enjoy the extra space.

Cameron graduated from BYU and my family came up from AZ to celebrate with us. We had a great time!

We also got a new addition to our family!

We adopted a four month old kitty. We named him Rooney (well, Cameron actually named him). He's a good little cat and Katelyn absolutely LOVES him!

I also celebrated my very first Mother's Day! Nine months ago I became a mommy and have loved every minute of it! It's the greatest calling in the world:) Cameron was very sweet and made me breakfast that morning. I was then showered with cards, gifts, and kisses:)

The day after Mother's Day Cameron and I celebrated our two year wedding anniversary:) We dropped Katelyn off at her grandparent's house (many thanks!) and went on a much needed date; just the two of us. I'm so lucky to be married to my best friend!

Trip to Cali

We were lucky enough to be able to take a short trip to California this past weekend! Cameron's good friend Ben was having his wedding reception in Cameron's hometown of Bakersfield so we decided to make a fun little vacation out of it. We visited Hollywood on our first night, and the day of the wedding reception went to Santa Monica Pier before heading for Bakersfield that evening. Here are a few picks of our fun adventure.
